Man gunned down, killer arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Saturday arrested a suspected killer in downtown Kirkuk, according to a local security source. “At 08:30 a.m. today, an unknown man opened fire on Jumaa Mohammed in the big market in downtown Kirkuk, killing him on the spot,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A force from the Azadi police station has managed to arrest the perpetrator near his house in Masli area, northern Kirkuk,” the source pointed out. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
