Jordan offers 15 tons of medicine to IDPs in Kurdistan
Erbil (BasNews) Kurdistan Region is to receive 15 tons of medical aid from Jordan on Monday, according to a statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Foreign Relations Department.
The medicine and medical supplies will be delivered to Erbil International Airport today. From that point it will be distributed to the camps for the internally displaced persons (IDP) all across Kurdistan.
The influx of more than 1.8 million IDPs and Syrian refugees has deteriorated the economic situation of the region which has already been troubled by budget cuts since 2014.
