Baghdad (BasNews) Most of the residents of the southern and central Iraqi provinces believe that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi is qualified to run for another term, according to the results of a survey.

The survey, conducted by the Shorouq Media Foundation, indicated that the people who voted for al-Abadi believe that he has passed the difficult exams.

The participants of the survey, who come from different walks of life and are of different ages, said that al-Abadi “was able” to beat the Islamic State (IS) organization by expelling the jihadists from the cities of Falluja and Tikrit and by launching the Mosul operation, which is reaching its end.

Unofficial reports point to the possibility that al-Abadi may form a new front for the upcoming elections in the country in opposition to the front that will be led by former two-term runner Nouri al- Maliki.
