Sticky bomb wounds 5 in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Five persons, including two soldiers and a cop, were injured when a sticky bomb went off in Mosul, a security source said on Saturday. “This afternoon, a sticky improvised explosive device (IED) detonated inside a car belonging to a policeman on al-Thalith Bridge, western Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The policeman was driving through an Iraqi checkpoint at the time of the blast, which wounded two soldiers at the checkpoint. The policeman was severely wounded and lost his legs as a result of the explosion, the source added. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
