IED kills civilian, injures 3 north of Talafar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: One civilian was killed and three others were wounded in an improvised explosive device explosion on Tuesday in the north of Talafar, according to a security source. “An improvised explosive device went off on Tuesday morning (Nov. 3) in the marketplace of  al-Aiyadiya district, north of Talafar, targeting a police vehicle patrol, killing one civilian and injuring three,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “None of the policemen were hurt in the attack,” he noted. “The forces sealed off the whole region and prevented civilians from approaching the scene,” he said. Talafar is 60 km northwest of Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
