Suspect was aggressive, that’s why we killed him – U.S. adviser

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The media adviser of the U.S. forces in Iraq said on Wednesday that a combined Iraqi-U.S. force killed a suspect during a raid operation north of Mosul city, because he behaved in an “aggressive” way, and “did not obey the force’s orders.” “The operation was conducted 106 km north of Mosul city,” Nadir Suleiman told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the suspect’s behavior represented a threat to the troops. “The force opened fire and killed him,” Suleiman said. Earlier, a security source said that on Wednesday a U.S. force killed a civilian and arrested his son and two of his brothers in northwestern Ninewa. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
