Army officer killed in Mosul blast

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi army officer on Monday was killed and a civilian was injured in an explosive charge blast in Mosul, according to a local security source. “At noon, an improvised explosive device hit an Iraqi army patrol vehicle in al-Majmoua al-Thaqafiya area, northern Mosul, killing an army lieutenant and wounding a civilian,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
