Islamic State attacks Syrian regime forces south of Aleppo
Aleppo (SyriaNews.media) The self-proclaimed Islamic State group launched, on Wednesday, a violent attack on the Syrian government forces locations on Ithriyah-Khanaser road, south of Aleppo, Qasioun News Agency reported.
Violent clashes also broke out between the two sides near Maragha area, resulting in the killing of 11 members of the security forces, in addition to destroying a military vehicle.
Earlier today, Syrian government forces and their affiliated militias managed to recapture villages and towns near the city of Maskana, the last stronghold of the Islamic State group, in eastern Aleppo.
