Talabani, Barazani tackle current issues

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President and the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Jalal al-Talabani, on Wednesday met with Massoud al-Barazani, the president of Iraq’s Kurdistan region and the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Arbil to discuss current issues. The meeting was attended by Kosrat Rasul Ali and Barham Ahmed Saleh, the deputies of the PUK’s secretary general; Fadel Mirani, the secretary of the political bureau; Azad Birwari, a member of the political bureau; and Rooz Nouri, a candidate for the position of the region’s deputy premier,” an informed source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Talabani has highlighted the outcome of his recent visits to the United States and Britain and his participation in the 64th session of the UN Security Council, the source explained.
