Erdogan arrives in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Baghdad on Thursday in a one-day official visit to Iraq, where he will sign a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding to foster ties between the two countries. The official spokesman for the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, had said yesterday that Erdogan will pay a one-day official visit to Baghdad on Wednesday (Oct. 15), during which he will meet with President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. “The visit will witness holding the Iraqi-Turkish strategic cooperation council,” he added.
