MPs want interior minister questioned at parl.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi parliament’s accountability and justice committee submitted a request on Thursday signed by 58 lawmakers to Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie demanding Interior Minister Jawad al-Bulani appear before parliament for questioning. “Bulani did not purge his Ministry from officers who were members of the dissolved Baath Party,” Falah Hassan Shanshal told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that information reveal that there are other officers to replace those Baathists, but Bulani did not seek their services. Shanshal accused Baathist officers of “being responsible for recent bloody explosions in Baghdad”. “Bulani recruited those officers in his Ministry while they were officers of the former Iraqi regime’s security,” he said. Shanshal called on Bulani to resign over administrative and financial corruption at the Interior Ministry. MH (P)/AmR 1
