PUK holds plenum in Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The 4th plenum of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) started Thursday evening in the city of Sulaimaniya with the participation of President Jalal Talabani. “The first day witnessed a reading of the political report by the general secretary and a detailed explanation of the political condition on the local, regional and international levels,” a member of the PUK told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A number of committees were established to review the PUK’s local system,” he noted. A total of 1200 figures took part in the plenum with the absence of the al-Taghieer (Change) List. The Plenum will continue until Saturday (Oct. 31), and several recommendations are expected to be issued at the end of the Plenum. SH (P) 1
