Larijani to visit Baghdad today

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani is due to pay a four-day visit to Baghdad on Wednesday, according to Fars news agency. “Larijani will meet during his visit with Iraq’s President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari,” the agency quoted Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad Hussein Kazzemi Qomi as saying. “Larijani’s visit will take place on Wednesday at the invitation of Iraqi parliament speaker Iyad al-Samarraie,” he added. The Iranian speaker will hold talks with senior Iraqi authorities on ways to improve bilateral relations and leading regional and international developments. “The Iranian official will sign a number of memorandums of understanding with al-Samarraie,” the ambassador added.
