Baghdad explosions are under control- official

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The explosions that were heard earlier this evening in the capital Baghdad were under control and not the result of acts of violence, an official spokesperson for Baghdad’s Operations Command (BOC) said. “The explosions were carried out at a camp in southern Baghdad,” Maj. Gen. Qassem Ata told IraqiNews.com news agency by phone. The official did not provide further details. Local media reports said that three blasts rocked the Iraqi capital today, coinciding with a visit by the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani. SS (P)/SR 1
