Kurdish premier in Kirkuk to meet officials

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The prime minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Barham Saleh, on Tuesday arrived in Kirkuk to meet with local officials. “Saleh met with Governor Abdulrahman Mustafa and members of the provincial council,” a media director in the province, Daleer Samad, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Tight security measures have been put in place with the arrival of the premier,” Samad added. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
