Mortars hit U.S. base in Salah al-Din

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: A number of mortar shells have fallen on a U.S. base in Salah al –Din, but no casualties have been reported, a local police source said on Thursday. “During an early hour this morning, a number of mortar shells landed on the U.S. Camp Anaconda in Yathrib district, southern Tikrit,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. There has been no word on casualties, the source pointed out. IraqiNews.com has tried to contact the U.S. side, but to no avail.
