Iraq to face Oman on Saturday in Asian U-19 qualifiers

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq will face Oman in the second round of the Group C qualifiers for the AFC U-19 Championship 2010 finals. The match will start at 1:00pm on Saturday (Nov. 7) on the pitch of Francois Hariri in the northern Iraq Kurdish city of Arbil. Iraq is topping the group with three points after crushing India 5/0, while Oman has only one point after the draw with Kuwait. Iraq will face also Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Afghanistan in the November 5-15 competition, with the top two teams gaining direct entry into the finals. The first game of the tournament saw Saudi Arabia defeating Afghanistan 5-1. The top two teams, after a single round-robin, qualify for the finals.
