President, PM congratulate Iraqi people on qualifying for Asia cup finals

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki congratulated the Iraqi people on the national youths’ soccer team’s qualifying to the Asia cup finals after thrashing Saudi Arabia 3/0. Iraq topped its Group C after scoring three goals in Saudi Arabia’s net during the second half of the game, collecting 13 points from four wins over India, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Oman and one draw with Kuwait. The goals were scored during the 58th minute by striker Mohammed Saad, who rose his personal tally to two at the 65th minute.
