850 teachers appointed in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: The Education Ministry approved the appointment of 850 teachers in Thi-Qar province, the spokesman for the education department in the province said on Tuesday. “The Thi-Qar education department sent their names to the Ministry according to certain criteria put in place by the Ministry which were applied to thousands of fresh graduates who applied for the job,” Abdulhaliem al-Husseini told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The approved names will be announced next Saturday and will be given one week to complete their official documents before distributing them throughout schools,” he added. There are around 45,000 teachers in Thi-Qar working in 1530 schools. Nassiriya, the capital of Thi-Qar, is 380 km south of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
