We plan to reach agricultural self-sufficiency – minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi agriculture ministry is working on supporting strategic agricultural products to achieve food self-sufficiency, the minister said on Thursday. Akram al-Hakim also said that importing agricultural products is not the best solution, but a temporary one for the time being. “Agricultural self-sufficiency cannot be achieved within a short time,” Hakim was quoted in a ministry release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
