No fancy pieces of lands to officials – Baghdad Mayoralty

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Baghdad Mayoralty denied on Sunday that it has specified pieces of lands to high-ranking Iraqi officials at the Tigris banks in Baghdad. It said that the allocated lands will be used to construct a tourist project and 5-star hotel. “At the time the Baghdad Mayoralty denies this news, it confirms that it received a request to allocate the lands from the Council of Ministers,” the Mayoralty said in a release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. It said that the Council of Ministers wanted to distribute the lands on the Iraqi Ministers, but the Baghdad mayoralty decided to reject the request. “The Baghdad Mayoralty is committed to the basic design of the city of Baghdad,” it said.
