No schools in part of Wassit for swine flu

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Wassit Provincial Council has decided to give students who live in al-Hay a one-week vacation for confirmed H1N1 (swine) flu cases in one of the suburbs. “The vacation can be renewed,” Sundoss al-Thahabi, head of the Council’s media committee, told IraqiNews.com news agency. She said this precautionary measure comes to limit swine flu infection among students who live in al-Hay suburb (40 km south of Kut city), which has recently witnessed 21 confirmed cases of the H1N1 disease.
