Power failure sets 120 stores ablaze in Duhuk

DUHUK / IraqiNews.com: A short electric circuit burned down 120 garments and home appliances stores in a marketplace in central Duhuk city on Sunday, according to the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG) official Web site. “The fire, which broke out in Jalli market, central Duhuk, caused severe damage to 120 stores selling garments and home appliances,” Duhuk Governor Tamr Ramadan was quote by the site as saying. “The fire brigades, civil defense teams and Duhuk Municipality staff rushed to the scene of the blaze,” he added.
