First H1N1 case confirmed in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The first confirmed case of H1N1 virus has been declared in Kirkuk on Monday, according to the deputy director of the Kirkuk health department. “The infected case is a 14-year-old student,” Dr. Sadeeq Omar told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that he is in a stable health condition and he left the hospital after receiving necessary treatment. The health department in Kirkuk had announced that it adopted precautionary measures and prepared all medical materials to face the disease. Kirkuk is 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
