Money counterfeiting gang nabbed in Kirkuk
KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Thursday arrested a money counterfeiting gang in Kirkuk, according to a local police chief. “The two-member gang was captured in al-Zab district (85 km southwest of Kirkuk),” Brig. Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Counterfeit money, totaling $15,000 U.S. dollars, was found in their possession,” the official pointed out. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
