Ammunition cache seized in Kut

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Security forces seized an ammunition cache hidden underground in an area western Kut city, a security source from the Wassit province said on Wednesday. “The cache was found in an area between al-Jihad neighborhood and al-Mowafaqiya, 20 km western Kut,” Major Aziz al-Ameer told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the operation relied on intelligence tip off. “The ammunitions were defused,” he said. Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SH 1
