Detainees’ parents demonstrate in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Detainees’ families marched before the Ninewa provincial authority’s building in Mosul city, demanding the release of their sons, a source from the province’s police said on Thursday. “More than 150 persons participated in today’s demonstration,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. For its part, the Mosul Lawyers Chamber handed over a statement to both the Ninewa governor and Lawmaker Atheel al-Nujaifi. “The Ninewa Operations Command has violated the Iraqi Constitution by arresting 350 of the province’s citizens,” said the release.
