Tight security measures in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Tight security measures have been adopted in Anbar after the recent explosions that took place in Baghdad on Monday, director of the Anbar police’s media department said. “Security authorities in Anbar have adopted tight security measures to foster security at the checkpoints and to spread patrols throughout Anbar after the recent bombings in Baghdad,” Major Raheem Zubn told IraqiNews.com news agency. A police source had said earlier that the three blasts, which targeted Babel, al-Hamraa and Sheraton hotels this afternoon, killed 36 and injured 71. The blasts caused material damage to a number of nearby houses, hotels and cars. Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, is located 110 km west of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
