2 killed, 10 wounded by car bomb in Karada

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians were killed and 10 others were injured in a car bomb blast that ripped through Baghdad’s area of al-Karada, the Iraqi police said on Tuesday. “This morning, a suicide bomber detonated his car bomb near the Criminal Evidence Department in Baghdad’s al-Tahariyat Square, killing two civilians and wounding 10 others,” a police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source did not give further details. Earlier today, a loud explosion was heard in Baghdad’s area of al-Karada and ambulances were seen rushing to and from the scene. On Monday (Jan. 25), three car bombs went off near Sheraton, al-Hamraa and Babel hotels in Baghdad, killing 36 persons and wounding 71 others. SS (P) 2
