Local source: Gunmen kill civilian east of Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A local source in the Iraqi Police revealed, on Sunday, that a civilian was killed in an armed attack, east of the capital, Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported.
The source informed that unidentified gunmen fired indiscriminately, through their muted weapons, toward a civilian in al-Mashtal area, killing him on spot.
Furthermore, the source, who asked to be anonymous, added that security forces cordoned the area of the incident and banned approaching it, while transferred the dead body to the Forensic Medicine Department.

It was also reported that Baghdad came on top of the worst affected Governorate, with 101 civilian casualties (31 killed, 70 injured), followed by Anbar (15 killed and 37 injured).
