Iraq mobilization forces kill two IS members in Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces on Tuesday killed two Islamic State members in Diyala province, a security source was quoted saying.
Iraqi Almaalomah website quoted the source saying that PMF troops killed the pair in Hamreen mountains area while attempting to sneak into the province.The source pointed to an increase in IS activity in the desert areas between Salahuddin and Diyala provinces.
Iraqi forces are still struggling against remnant IS havens in desert areas even after the government declared in late 2017 it had recaptured all of the extremist group’s strongholds.
