Security forces apprehend 2 persons accused of terrorism in Mosul

Ninevah (IraqiNews) Military Intelligence Directorate announced, on Wednesday, apprehending two persons on charges of terrorism, in the left side of the city of Mosul.
Alsumaria News reported that the detachments of Nineveh Operations Command’s Military Intelligence Directorate, arrested two persons on charges of terrorism in al-Rashidiya area, in the left area of the city of Mosul.
The arrested persons were referred to the competent courts to receive a fair punishment, it added.
It is noteworthy that the security forces are frequently arresting many of wanted people on different charges in Ninevah Province.
On June 2014, the Islamic State group took control of Mosul, after the Iraqi troops stationed there fled. Troop shortages played into Islamic State’s hands and fueled panic that led to the city’s abandonment.
