Iraqi prime minister inquires after Kuwaiti emir
Kuwait city (IraqiNews.com) – Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a phone call Wednesday from Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who inquired about the emir’s health condition following successful medical tests.
On his part, the Kuwaiti emir thanked the prime minister for his kind feelings, expressing appreciation for his concern, Kuwait’s news agency KUNA reported.
The 90-year-old ruling emir suffered an unspecified medical setback and underwent medical tests that later turned out well.
Sheikh Sabah, who is in power since January 2006, is pushed for diplomacy to solve regional issues, such as the ongoing boycott of Qatar by four Arab nations, and hosted major donor conferences for war-torn nations like Iraq and Syria.
