Saudi king meets Iraqi prime minister in Jeddah over regional tensions
King Salman hosted Iraq’s prime minister for talks in Jeddah.
Riyadh (IraqiNews.com) – Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met on Wednesday with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi in Jeddah, sources told Al Arabiya TV channel.
“The Iraqi Prime Minister will discuss security in the region and methods to reduce tensions there and in the Arabian Gulf,” said a statement by Abdul Mahdi’s media office on Tuesday.
During his several-hours visit, the Iraqi premier will also hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman
The talks will focus on means of promoting relations between the two countries and Iraq’s firm stance to defuse tensions and conflicts in the region.
