1 killed, 3 wounded in IED blast in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device (IED) went off inside a bus in northeastern al-Diwaniya province, leaving one person killed and three others wounded, according to a local medic on Sunday. “One killed man and three wounded persons have been registered in Diwaniya public hospital after the blast that ripped through the district of al-Daghara,” an official in the Diwaniya health department told IraqiNews.com news agency on customary condition of anonymity. Meanwhile, Maj. General Abdulaziz al-Salhi, the director of al-Diwaniya police department, told IraqiNews.com that an IED placed inside a box on a mini-bus went off on Sunday afternoon in the heart of al-Daghara outdoor souk (market), 15 km northeastern Diwaniya, leaving the bus driver and two pedestrians severely wounded.
