Wassit council okays 2010 budget

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Wassit provincial council approved the 2010 budget of 102.250 billion Iraqi dinars after the Iraqi parliament voted over the federal state budget, according to the council’s information committee chairperson on Thursday. “This year’s budget for Wassit is less than last year’s 107 billion Iraqi dinars but there are endeavors to allocate additional sums for a number of projects,” Sondos al-Dhahabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. The Wassit local council had objected in a previous session the sums appropriated for the 2010 budget in the province on the grounds that it does not meet the real needs of the province.
