 Trade volume hits nearly $200m between Iraqi Kurdistan and Armenia

Sulaymaniyah (IraqiNews.com) – The Armenian General Consul in Iraqi Kurdistan, Arshak Manoukian, announced on Tuesday that the trade volume between Armenia and the northern region amounted to nearly $200 million during the past year.

This announcement occurred in a joint press conference held with Mustafa Sheikh Abdul Rahman, President of the Union of Importers and Exporters in Iraqi Kurdistan.

During the conference, Manoukian said that his visit to Sulaymaniyah strengthens’ relations with Iraqi Kurdistan, adding that the volume of trade exchange between Armenia and the northern region amounted to $190 million during the year 2021.

“We are working to strengthen trade relations and import goods and merchandise from Armenia,” said Sheikh Abdul Rahman.
