Blast targets Shiites east of Karbala – eyewitnesses

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A powerful explosion took place on Wednesday targeting Shiite visitors in east of Karbala, eyewitnesses said. “The blast took place on Wednesday morning (Feb. 3) in Farieha region on Madinat al-Hindiya road, east of Karbala,” an eyewitness told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Ambulances rushed to the area,” he added. No word was immediately available from any security source. A medical source had said earlier that the powerful explosion that jolted Karbala late Tuesday killed two persons and injured 23, four of them in a critical condition. SH (P) 2
