Gunmen kill cops in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two cops have been killed by unknown gunmen in Kirkuk City, a local security source said on Monday. “Unknown gunmen driving a silver Hyundai-modeled car opened fire from a silencer-equipped gun on two cops, who were heading to their work near the Oqba Bin Nafie gas station in southwestern Kirkuk, killing them on the spot,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 2
