Ammo found near Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: An ammunition cache containing cannon balls and mortars has been discovered near Kirkuk City, a local security source said on Sunday. “The cache, located near the new bridge on the road linking Sulaimaniya to Arbil (15 km north of Arbil), contained cannon balls and mortars shells belonging to the former Iraqi army,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
