Soldier down by mortar shell explosion near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi serviceman was killed by a mortar shell explosion he was tampering with south of Mosul city on Sunday, a Ninewa police source said. “The incident took place in the district of al-Hadar, south of Mosul, when the soldier was inside his military unit,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The soldier’s body was taken to a morgue in the city,” he added.
