Talabani, German org. review parliamentary elections

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Tuesday discussed with a delegation from the German Friedrich Ebert Organization in Baghdad the international supervision of the upcoming parliamentary elections, according to a presidential statement. “The Friedrich Ebert Organization, which is based in Berlin, has more than 100 branches in more than 100 countries around the world, and their office in Jordan is supervising the organization’s projects in Iraq,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The organization is supporting the Iraqi supervisors of the coming parliamentary elections,” it added. President Talabani praised the organization’s work and projects and expressed his readiness to facilitate their plans and tasks. SH (P)/SR 2
