U.S. will get nowhere with interference in accountability – justice law- Dabbagh

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An official spokesperson for the Iraqi government described the U.S. “interference” in Iraq’s accountability and justice law as useless. “I do not believe that interference by the U.S. side or the United Nations in the work of the (de-Baathification) committee will get anywhere,” Spokesperson Ali al-Dabbagh said in statements published by the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper on Tuesday. During a phone call with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie on Sunday (Jan. 17) evening, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden expressed his lack of confidence in the de-Baathification committee, suggesting that another de-Baathification process should take place after the country’s parliamentary election.
