Demonstrations in Salah al-Din against security forces

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Hundreds of Salah al-Din people demonstrated in their Tikrit city on Wednesday against what they considered security forces intervention in their local political issues. “The demonstration was against security forces’ control over Salah al-Din provincial building,” a security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The forces prevented the head of the Salah al-Din provincial council from entering the building. A number of the province’s official figures and chieftains participated in the demonstration, according to the source. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad.
