Official buildings in Kurdistan not for election purposes – official

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Kurdistan Region government prohibits the use of official buildings for electoral purposes, the cabinet’s official spokesperson said on Thursday. “A line should be drawn between public work and political affiliation,” Dr. Kawa Mahmoud told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that even the government’s satellite television station, Kurdistan TV, will deal in a professional and neutral way with all the Kurdish political parties running in Iraq’s upcoming parliamentary elections on March 7, 2010.
