Police, army forces take part in electoral propaganda – organization

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A number of Iraqi army and police elements have participated in the circulation of electoral propaganda for the interest of certain electoral lists, chairwoman of an NGO said on Friday. “This is a violation,” Vian al-Sheikh Ali told IraqiNews.com news agency. She said that security institutions should not be used for electoral purposes. “The organization has asked the bodies monitoring the elections to provide it with all documents which prove the involvement of security forces in the election campaign,” she noted.
