Abbawi discusses with Canadian charge d’ affaires reopening embassy in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Undersecretary of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, Labeed Abbawi, discussed on Monday with Canadian charge d’ affaires the reopening of the Canadian embassy in Baghdad, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry. “Abbawi asserted the Iraqi side’s readiness to present all facilities to the Canadian embassy,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two officials discussed also ways of boosting bilateral ties,” the statement added, noting that Abbawi underlined that relations with Canada is very good. “The Canadian diplomat said his government is resolved to reopen its embassy in Baghdad as soon as possible,” it said.
