ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A total of 1 billion Iraqi dinars has been embezzled from the Jobless Protection Network in Anbar province, the deputy governor said on Thursday. “While auditing the financial statements of the Jobless Protection Network in the province, the provincial financial committee has discovered the embezzlement of nearly 1 billion Iraqi dinars,” Hikmat Jassem told IraqiNews.com news agency. An investigation is currently underway with local officials, Jassem noted. Ramadi, the capital city of Anbar province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
