Diwaniya Council votes to confiscate Baathists’ lands

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Diwaniya’s Provincial Council voted on Tuesday to confiscate agricultural lands rented by the Baathists, and redistribute them to people in Diwaniya. “The decision was achieved with the greater majority of the council’s members’ votes,” Moayad al-Ansari, the council’s media adviser, told IraqiNews.com news agency.
