3 civilians killed, 4 wounded in traffic accident in Khanaqin

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Three civilians were killed and four others wounded in a traffic accident on the road linking Imam Weis to the district of Khanaqin on Saturday, a local medic said. “The accident took place when the bus boarding these civilians overturned on the Imam Weis-Khanaqin road,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Khanaqin, one of the disputed areas between the Baghdad central government and the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan Region but belongs administratively to Diala, is 155 km northeast of Baaquba. “The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital in the district,” he said, not giving further details.
